I’m so excited to share with you my latest cocktail creation: Strawberry Dream Cocktail. If you’re looking for a refreshing and delightful drink that perfectly captures the essence of summer, then you’re in for a treat!
This cocktail is everything you need to embrace the sunny vibes of summer. Packed with the sweet essence of strawberries and a hint of citrus, it’s a true delight for the taste buds.
Ingredients:
- Vodka
- Elderflower Liqueur
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Strawberry Simple Syrup
- Fresh Strawberries, plus extra for garnish
- Soda Water
- Ice cubes (I’m always making cute shapes)
Steps:
Step 1. Prepare the Strawberry Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, I combined 1 cup of water, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of sliced fresh strawberries. After simmering over medium heat and letting it cool, I strained the syrup to remove the strawberry solids. It’s now chilling in the refrigerator, waiting to add its sweetness to the cocktail.
Step 2. Muddle the Strawberries: Into my cocktail shaker went 3 fresh strawberries, getting muddled until they released their delicious juices.
Step 3. Add the Liquids: pour in the vodka, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and 1 oz. of the prepared strawberry simple syrup.
Step 4. Shake It Up: Filling the shaker with my favorite ice cubes (usually in cute shapes), I covered it and gave it a good shake for about 15 seconds.
Step 5. Strain Into Glass: Straining the mixture into a glass filled with more ice cubes, I couldn’t wait to taste the fruity goodness.
Step 6. Top with Soda Water: Adding a splash of soda water for that perfect fizz.
Step 7. Garnish: Of course, no cocktail is complete without a garnish, so I topped it off with a strawberry and a fresh sprig of mint on the rim of the glass.
Step 8. Serve and Enjoy: With everything perfectly in place, it was time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the refreshing taste of summer!
